The versatile Strie Silk is composed of a random, multi-coloured set of warp threads which blend and contrast sympathetically with the subtle dominance of the weft colour. The fabric designer has selected the key weft thread in each of the Cascade and Strie fabrics from the most popular James Brindley plain Dupions and each of the 21 colourways in this collection takes its name from the original shade. From the vibrancy of Kingfisher through rich Aubergine, Burnt Sienna and Mud Pie to the delicate shades of Mint and Silver Birch, the fabric colourways complement both contemporary décor or traditional tones. Although not recommended for the combination stripe, the plain Dupions and Strie fabrics in this collection are available backed onto wallpaper.
