FonteynThe Fonteyn collection celebrates the grace of the famous ballerinas from which the five luxurious fabrics take their names. A smooth satin finish reminiscent of ballet slippers is the elegant stage for Fonteyn’s embroidered damask design. Its glamourous sheen is captured at its purest in the Fonteyn Plain satin co-ordinate within each colourway. Waiting in the wings and distinguishing itself by the contrast of raised satin stripes on a dupion ground is the timeless Darcey design. The versatile and hardwearing Markova tweed is noted for its outstanding performance, an ideal choice for upholstery or supple drapes. Undoubtedly the most elaborate design in the collection is the Ninette paisley, our first jacquard. The eight colourways of the collection range from the autumnal richness of Conker to the cool tones of Marble, with Peacock putting on a bright show and Granite in the pink. Most of the silks and silk blends in the collection are available backed onto wallpaper.
